Was curious if any Westerner has had any difficulties or experiences visiting Thailand for a medical procedure. And if they did, what action, if any, did they take? This article was just posted on the Internet and looks at medical tourism from a legal perspective. Here's the link Medical Tourism Thailand.
I am from California and I often use Vejthani Hospital when I go to Bangkok. They are priced a bit better than most well known western hospitals so their checkup packages are more affordable.
I've been going there for 6 years now.
They have a "hotel like" atmosphere.
No need to make an appointment. Just take a taxi and register at the front desk.
They give you the results of your tests right after it is all over.
I got an English speaking doctor so that was really helpful.
Once you have decided to come to Bangkok for medical care, you need to do some research beforehand regarding the procedure you need to perform and the facilities you are considering. Thai hospitals have ISO safety certification. You can come here for various medical treatment purposes including cosmetic surgery, cardiac bypass surgery, Liposuction, breast augmentation, etc. Thailand hospitals
